Customer service wasted time having me repeat the problem 4 times & just continued to repeat it back. Completely useless.
Was looking for a new laser printer and of course went over to Amazon. Found it but didn't like the price. I did a Google search and it pointed me here. Same item at $100 lower than Amazon and shipping was also included. I ordered it on Monday night, it arrived from the US to Canada on Thursday afternoon.
Found a description for a replacement cartridge which had me confused as I never thought a replacement toner cartridge would have an internal iD chip. My previous one did not. But this new ones does.
So I asked them about it. Within 12 hours I got a reply back with a full explanation and a guide how to manually replace the chip on remanufactured cartridges. Rare to get a full response back with details. Usually we get a canned response which vaguely has the information we wanted.
Now, the only thing I'm not keen on is the fact they have 3 or 4 other sites attached to theirs, so when we order it is processed through a 3rd party processing site which handles all the other sites. The beef I have with that is they each individually spammed me with ads and adverts. I hate spam electronic or flyering through my mailbox.
The littlests of details or points each one wanted to make ended up filling my inbox with 50+ spam emails about some new thing they got in or some low price on something. Huh?... I just wanted a frigging laser printer and cartridges. I did not purchase cables, furniture or anything from their associated sites. So why flood my inbox with spam.
Spam is the lowest form of advertisement and because I set 123ink as allowed email, it let through all their associated links too. Now I have to create a specific filter to weed out the site specific spam. Not a good first impression.
Really bad customer service (online, haven't been in store). Definitely wouldn't recommend anyone to shop here. There are numerous complaints online for a reason.
Terrible... got no pages out of a 1200 yield toner.
Called to ask for a replacement and they kept me on hold for 20 minutes while asking a technician what to do.
Never order from them again
I opened the black ink cartridge per the instructions: ink was instantly all over my hands and carpet. The promised savings are NOT worth the damage caused by this faulty product.
I needed repalcement ink and the prices seemed OK. I plugged in the printer number and the page came up with their offerings. I plumped for the economy pack plus an extra black. The economy pack black seemed fine but the extra black was the wrong one. They refused to correct the error, saying I chose the wrong one. My question is, why did the wrong one come up as an option for my printer. Be very careful when using their site and don't expect any customer service.
As a follow-up, after a number of weeks and following this review, the company did contact me and dealt with the issue. I have receiver a refund and am now satisfied with their response.
Regrettably, 123ink.ca only offers delivery via UPS on its Web site. UPS's standard for delivery - 3 working days for delivering from Montreal to Ottawa, a 2 1/2-hour drive - is bad for a courier service, and UPS is not even able to meet it. A full week when you're lucky, often longer, is more likely. To add insult to injury, UPS had sent me an e-mail indicating the delivery would be one day earlier, but never bothered to send another when it was delayed beyond the original date; the package tracking indicates the package only left Montreal a week after UPS got it, and at that point, I'm still waiting though the package has supposedly arrived in Ottawa but won't be delivered in the foreseeable future. The customer service agent at 123 tells me we can call to select Canada Post as a carrier (XpressPost would probably be in two working days for a short distance like this), but since the Web site doesn't mention it, that's likely an excuse more than anything. Which is too bad: if an option other than UPS had appeared, I would have given it four stars.
